'''Chain Trial''' is a single-player [[Score Attack]] game mode where the player must score [[score|points]] on a series of pre-build boards. Growing is not possible in Chain Trial, and as such the player has limited resources to construct a chain and get as many points as possible for each board. You have 30 seconds for each board; if you run out of time or if you construct a chain longer than a 1-chain, you will move on to the next board.

Score trial [[rank|ranks]] require a certain amount of score per board. For the normal board, this is 6,000 points per board. Playing with the [[mini board]] will reduce the score requirement significantly to 3,500 points per board. [[Turbo mode]] does not affect the requirements at all.
